Frequently Asked Questions

  • Chiropractors examine your spine and musculoskeletal system and detect vertebral subluxations, or spinal misalignments and restore function to these joints with manual adjustments. This restores normal movement to the joint taking pressure off the nerves allowing your brain and your body to communicate fully. When there is pressure on the nerves this can result in referred pain, muscle spasm or weakness. These small adjustments can not only relieve pain but help your body function at a higher level meaning you live a pain free, healthier life.

  • Haptic (haptɪk)(adjective) Relating to the perception and manipulation of objects using touch and proprioception.Chiropractic (kʌɪrə(ʊ)ˈpraktɪk) (noun) Done by hand.

  • Everyone! The youngest patient we’ve seen so far has been 5 days old and the eldest of 93 years! We always tailor your treatment to suit you, making it safe and comfortable for everyone.

  • The adjustments themselves don’t hurt. Sometimes if a joint is particularly stiff, it can feel a little uncomfortable at first - but this is short lived. Very occasionally, people find some mild discomfort for a day or so after treatment. Just like how you’d feel after a good gym session! Most of our clients experience some immediate relief.Item description

  • If we don’t feel that you need to a see a Chiropractor and that you will be better suited to a different treatment or practitioner, we will refer you to the appropriate person. We have worked hard to create fantastic referral schemes with local physiotherapists, x-ray and MRI facilities. We can also oder at home blood tests through our links with Thriva and use Push Doctor if we need to get you a prescription.

  • Not necessarily. We don’t have on site x-ray facilities, but we work closely with a centre in central London who will carry out x-rays or an MRI if needed. If you have had x-rays or an MRI taken in the past then please bring them with you.

  • Whatever you like! We’re not the judgemental type! We don’t need you to take any clothes off, don’t worry there’s no dodgy hospital gowns involved. We simply ask you to take your shoes, belts, jewellery, and any heavy coats or jumpers off. Loose fitting clothes are easier, but not essential.
